For those that don't know, banh mi is Vietnamese for bread or sandwich. Best banh mi in Dallas! I always call ahead to pick up. My family has been buying banh mi from Quoc Bao for well over 10 years.

I ordered 30 banh mi for a boat party and asked them to cut it in half for me with veggies on the side. Many of my friends had never had banh mi before and they loved it!

The banh mi is always soft on the inside with a delicate crunch on the outside. The fillings they have are delicious and warm when you get them fresh. My go to are the xiu mai, xa xiu, Or thit nuong!

Always get veggies on the side so that you can add how much you want and the bread doesn't get soggy. Also, if you decide to save your banh mi to eat later, you can retoast your banh mi and still get a nice crunch from your fresh veggies.

Always call ahead because they don't have a ton of waiting space and it's just an easy grab and go. Also grab a cup of Ca fe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee) for a refreshing burst of energy!

Largest, freshest, and best tasting Bánh mì I've had in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metro.

Very reasonable prices and extremely fast, friendly counter service.

    Best part of town? Hardly.
(But be honest -- are you really here to buy real estate? C'mon.)

I'm not an expert on Bahn Mi and I'm not Vietnamese, but I thought the bahn mi here was just alright. The hubby also agreed. The sandwich here isn't good enough that we'd drive out of the way for it. I had the chicken bahn mi and my hubby had the grilled pork bahn mi.

    Pros:
-Bahn Mi is the largest I've seen in DFW
-The bread is pretty fresh here. I can see them baking it in the back.
-Cheap. They have a buy 3, get 1 free deal for bahn mi.

    Cons:
-Chicken was kind of dry. Seasoning was just okay.
-They don't have a beef bahn mi option.
-Area appears a little sketchy and there isn't much around in the immediate plaza.
    -No table seating, just chairs.
-Workers aren't the friendliest or most informative. Might be a bit of a language barrier.

Overall, I think this place is worth a try if you live in the area or if you are looking for a lot of food for cheap. However, we prefer the brisket bahn mi at Bahn Mi Dalat in Carrollton. It might not be the biggest sandwich, but the meat quality is better and it's a quicker drive.

Wanted to update this review because of what I've been seeing at Quoc Bao. The Banh Mi here is not the same anymore. The last few times I've visited, the banh mi is getting smaller and smaller in portion size and the filling also becoming less and less. I can understand that they are trying to cut cost but come on Quoc Bao, make the banh mi worth what I paid for. Now the flavor of the banh mi is still very good and their Viet coffee is the best around but with Saigon Deli next door making big moves on their banh mi game, Quoc Bao may take a big hit if they continue to downgrade their banh mi. Just saying.

I finally made the drive from Dallas for a banh mi and it was worth it. Note that there is no seating here! They also are cash only for orders under $5, and you can actually get a good meal here for under $5. I need more excuses to drive to Garland now.

Food: All the sandwiches are served on light baguettes with a nice crust. The #3 grilled chicken has tender chicken. I believe everything comes with mayo, shredded veggies, and jalapeño. The full sandwich is very filling. The jalapeño gave it a good kick, especially on the last quarter of my sandwich where more than 50% of the jalapeño was located. Oh yea, they're $4 and change with tax.

Service: Order at a counter and take away. There are no tables. There is no pretension. Wait was about 5 minutes once we ordered. The line was 4-5 customers long when we left.

Decor: I ate my meal sitting on some shaded cement at Hollabaugh Park. It was actually pretty comfortable on a July day.
